Managing Farm Woodlands for Woodfuel Production

The Silvanus Trust held a series of eight events over the winter of 2007/08 across the south west of England demonstrating best practice in farm woodland management, focussing on woodfuel production.

The events had a range of speakers talking about farm woodland management, generating an income from your woodland, woodland biodiversity, harvesting and processing including machinery demonstrations. The days provided all the information a landowner/farmer needs to bring under managed farm woodlands into management to supply growing woodfuel markets with benefits to biodiversity.
